Duluth Classes

CHECK IT OUT IN THE "Stitch N' Times" Newsletter on this web-site or call us at one of our stores if you are interested in one of the following classes.  Virginia: 218-741-0641 or Duluth: 218-723-4035  or 800-824-6838

You are invited to Viking Village's Fun & Free Sewing & Embroidery Club:

This sewing seminar inspires, teaches, and informs you with new and established techniques in sewing.  No supplies are needed.  Bring a friend and join the fun.  If you want to show off something you've been working on, or have some questions on a project, bring them too.  Please call to register.

Held the second Tuesday of the month at 1:30pm

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR SOFTWARE SERIES:

If you have a laptop, bring it, with your software installed, dongle, and power cord for a hands on experience.  Please let us know if you have 4D or 5D so we can prepare for the following classes.

4D- 5D ALIGNER Software:

Split large embroideries for any hoop, even multi-part or position hoops.  Not only will we learn to successfully split these oversize designs, but also how to reconnect them at your Sewing/Embroidery Machine.

.

FUN WITH FONTS in your Software:

Let Carol J. show you how to maneuver the fonts in different ways you never knew you could do.  Use them on clothing, towels, labels and much more.

Embroidery Conquered:

Learn how to make your embroidery look it's best by proper use of stabilizer, sprays, hooping guides, and tools that will make it easy.  Learn the protocol for placement on many items such as towels, pockets, t-shirts, etc.  You must know how to operate your machine before the class. Ask for supplies and instructions when registering.

Fleece Socks:  A good beginner class:

Use your serger or sewing machine to sew together the warmest socks.  Set your serger to do a flat-lock.  Go home after the class and make more.  They are wonderful gifts.

Free Motion Quilting Class:

Very informative!!  This is the stuff that holds it all together.  It's time to put that quilt top you've peiced into a quilt with a back and batting.  Learn the best techniques available to do this on your own sewing machine while you make a beautiful wall hanging.  See the store sample.

PIECE YOUR FIRST QUILT--THE EASY WAY:

BEGINNERS WELCOME!  We will be using "Quilter's Grid on Point" by Pellon. Looks complicated but it is not!!  Bring pieces of coordinating colors of fabric from your stash printed and solid.  We will be making a 10" block the easy way.  See sample in the store.
